25 secrets revealed by Jesus to Saint Faustina to fight against the devil

Sister Faustina Kowalska recorded the instructions of Christ in her diary.

In Krakow-Pradnik, on June 2, 1938, the Lord Jesus dictated a three-day retreat to a young Polish Sister of Mercy.

Sister Faustina Kowalska meticulously recorded the instructions of Christ in her diary, which is a manual of mysticism in Prayer and Divine Mercy.

After having read the Diary a few times in the last 20 years, I had forgotten the only refuge that Christ gave on the subject of Spiritual Warfare.

Then, recently, I was invited to lead a retreat in Trinidad based on the ” Spiritual Warfare Conference ” ” of Christ as presented in the Journal.

In the Shrine of the Holy Family, an incredible group of lay leaders in the service of the Archbishop and priests, sponsored the retreat of the Archdiocese of Trinidad and we filled the Seminary of St. John Vianney to reflect on this teaching.

Here are the secrets that Jesus revealed to his little girlfriend Faustina on how to protect himself from the attacks of the demon in the spiritual battle

These instructions became Faustina’s weapon in the fight against the evil enemy

Jesus began: “My daughter, I want to teach you about spiritual warfare”

1.- Never trust yourself, but completely abandon yourself to My will.
Trust is a spiritual weapon. Trust is part of the shield of faith that St. Paul mentions in the Epistle to the Ephesians (6,10-17): the armor of the Christian.

The abandonment to the will of God is an act of trust; faith in action dispels evil spirits.

2.- In desolation, darkness, and doubts, go to Me and your spiritual director, he will always listen to you in my name.
In times of spiritual warfare, pray immediately to Jesus. Invoke His Holy Name, which is very feared in the underworld.

Bring the darkness into the light by telling your spiritual director or confessor and follow his instructions.

3.- Do not negotiate with any temptation; lock yourself immediately in My Heart.
In the Garden of Eden, Eva negotiated with the devil and lost.

We have to resort to the refuge of the Sacred Heart. Running to Christ, is how we turn our backs on the demonic.

4.- At the first opportunity, relieve the temptation to your confessor.
A good confession, a good confessor, and a good penitent, are a perfect recipe for victory over temptation and demonic oppression, this does not fail!

5. Put your love in the last place, so that it does not contaminate your works.
Self-love is natural, but it must be ordered, free of pride. Humility defeats the devil, who is the perfect pride.

Satan tempts us to disordered self-love, which leads us to the pool of pride.

6.- Have great patience with yourself
Patience is a secret weapon that helps us maintain the peace of our soul, even in the great storms of life. Patience with oneself is part of humility and trust.

The devil tempts us to impatience, to turn against ourselves so that we get angry. Look at yourself in God’s sight. He is infinitely patient.

7.- Do not neglect the inner mortifications.
The Scripture teaches that some demons can only be expelled with prayer and fasting.

Internal mortifications are weapons of war. They can be small sacrifices offered with great love. The power of sacrifice for love dislodges the enemy.

8.- Always justify to yourself the opinions of your superiors and your confessor.
Christ speaks to Saint Faustina who lives in a convent. But we all have people with authority over us.

The devil aims to divide and conquer, so that humble obedience to authentic authority is a spiritual weapon.

9. Reject the murmurings like a plague.
The tongue is a powerful vessel that can do a lot of damage. To be murmuring or gossiping, is never from God.

The devil is a liar who raises false accusations and gossip that can kill a person’s reputation. Reject the murmurings.

10.- Let everyone act as they want; but you have to act, as I want you to do.
The mind of oneself is the key in spiritual warfare. The devil is a meddler who tries to drag the whole world.

Pleased to God and let the opinions of others go down the road.

11.- Observe the rule as faithfully as possible.
Jesus refers to the rule of a Religious Order here. Most of us have made a vow before God and the Church and we must be faithful to our promises, that is, marriage vows and baptismal promises.

Satan tempts infidelity, anarchy and disobedience. Fidelity is a weapon for victory.

12.- If someone causes you problems, think about the good you can do to the person who made you suffer.
To be a vessel of divine mercy is a weapon for good and to defeat evil.

The devil works on hatred, anger, revenge and unforgiveness. Others have hurt us at some point. What will we return in exchange? Return a blessing breaks curses.

13.- Do not spill your feelings.
A talkative soul will be more easily attacked by the devil. Pour out your feelings only before the Lord.

Remember, good and bad spirits listen to what you say out loud. The feelings are ephemeral. The truth is the compass. The inner recollection is a spiritual armor.

14.- Be silent when you are reprimanded.
Most of us have been reprimanded at some time. We have no control over that, but we can control our response.

The need to be right all the time can lead us to demonic traps. God knows the truth. Let her go. Silence is a protection. The devil can use self-righteousness to make us stumble too.

15.- Do not ask everyone’s opinion, but only your confessor; Be as frank and simple as a child with him.
The simplicity of life can drive out demons.

Honesty is a weapon to defeat Satan, the liar. When we lie we put a foot on his ground and he will try to seduce us even more.
